Gerard Walsh


Originally from Bay de Verde, NL and one of Ray Walsh's younger siblings, Gerard Walsh returned to live in Newfoundland after a distinguished career in the Canadian Armed Forces which saw him travel all over the world, and take his music with him. 

Playing acoustic guitar and singing lead and harmony vocals with the Walsh Family Band, Gerard also plays the button accordion with the group on occasion and has had a long history of playing traditional music with friends and family.

For the past several summers, he has also performed with Ray as part of Anna McGoldrick's Musical Tours of Newfoundland and he enjoys donating his time and talents to a variety of causes and charitable events whenever possible. 

Gerard currently resides in Bay de Verde, Conception Bay, NL.
